It’s Ash Wednesday - Here’s a Lenten prayer plan to help your children pray with the family AND on their own this Lent. If you haven’t yet, download/ get access to our children’s musical guide to “The Way of the Cross”.
What I love about it - you can do it as a whole family, and then set it up for your children to use independently - even if they can’t read yet.
They can learn about the Stations and reflect on Jesus’ redemptive love as they interact with the pictures of each station and the color-coded hymn “At the Cross Her Station Keeping” (Stabat Mater).
I love that we can do these Playful Pitch prayer cards together, and then my children BEG me to get the Playful Pitch instrument out so they can do it on their own. I can’t even describe how happy it makes me feel to hear my children ASK to pray “The Stations of the Cross”. I love teaching them our beautiful faith through interactive, hands-on musical learning.
